Andrew,

The current symptom could be as simple as the cap, in which case I would
only get an OEM one. But it could also be a defective new tank.

Check the coolant lines to make sure they are tight. Assuming the lines
are tight I would wrap an old t-shirt/cloth/towel around the cap to try
and confirm the coolant is leaking there.

Your future symptom is the tank, I just pulled a "new" meyle tank
out of my 95 S6 as it was leaking. Meyle isn't known for the best
quality and their tanks have a BAAAD reputation. I'm surprised to hear
that 034 is selling Meyle tanks.
