LCD display is shot, the bulbs that illuminate the LCD are still working, so is the rest of the cluster, well...not really, my temperature display shows "----" instead of digits :(

Are you saying the lightbulb that backlights the lcd is burnt out, or 
is the bulb illuminating and the LCD appears dead?
