Consider adding it to your existing policy but listing it with 1000 miles/yr
no commute etc. GEICO definitely gives you a break on this kind of use, my
ugly truck used for hauling stuff only costs me $90 every 6 months.
Track insurance is very expensive, would not consider it except for a true
classic with serious value.

Subject: [s-cars] NAC -- limited use/mileage insurance
Oh wide-ranging knowledge base.....
I'm looking for a limited use/mileage policy for my track car. I know
the "on-track" usage won't be covered, and that is fine. I'll pick up
specific HPDE coverage as necessary. I only use the car on the street
to and from fueling up, car wash, etc. Other than that, very sparingly
on the street. Anyone have any experience with this type, or is it even
available? I know policies for historic cars have this type of limited
mileage coverage, but my car is a 1990 so it won't qualify as historic.
Any thoughts? Thanks.
