Alexander,
Absolutely find a reputable person if you are not doing it yourself. change
idler roller, water pump, cam position sensor and serpentine belt -
carefully inspect cam pulley and crankshaft pulley.
Also this is a moderately easy diy, and if diy, while you're there: change
thermostat and housing, voltage regulator, radiator supports, any other
original cooling system hoses, t-fitting at hater hose and water fitting at
back of block.
yes, preventative and maybe overkill, but cheap insurance against cooling
system problems which will undoubtedly occur between 96k and 126k, BTDT.
i wouldn't ask a shop to do all this preventative stuff - the bill will run
towards $2000 at ala carte pricing, even with a 10-20% break, you're
probably paying too much.
BTW, with your lower mileage car, all the known issues and maintenance needs
are well sorted by the list. I'm at 116k now and this list has been
indispensable in that regard. I just listen and do the preventative before
it fails - although i have not yet decided what to do about coils - just
replaced #5 when it failed at 99k miles. The 034 HO is possible, but i do
want to retain the cover... i digress...
Thanks again to everyone! The current threads are interesting - almost time
to start talking about an AC compressor thread again!
