A few years back, I replaced the stock driver's side mirror with an EU
version sourced through Vagparts.  The stock mirror was de-silvering
and would not stay attached to the backing plate in the housing.  The
new mirror snapped right in and has been a wonderful addition to the
Whale's accessories.

Unfortunately, the EU mirror is now losing its grip to the backing
plate as well.  It still "snaps" a little when pushed back in but it
works its way loose over time.  Is there a cure?  I would hate to
loose the mirror.  Has anyone out there successfully got mirrors to
stick once they start coming loose?
