Daniel,
If BIRA can you you the parts immediately, and for less than $1400 for
the whole set-up (including the stuff you provide), then I'd give it a
qualified "go". This was my biggest problem with anything from BIRA -
the parts had a timeline of "whenever", which is great if you want to
wait forever, but not so great if your brake pad material is near the
backing plates already.
As a matter of materials, I personally do not like the use of aluminum
as brake bracket material. I have never heard of a BIRA failure on
that account, but there have been failures of aluminum brackets by ECS
and StopTech. The steel RS2 brackets available from Apikol are a
thing of beauty, and make the 993TT caliper sit properly centered over
the A8 rotor.
This is not to say that aluminum in that application cannot be made to
work. I just don't prefer it, for a variety of reasons having to do
with the properties of aluminum and its alloys.

Its either this or 993tt calipers with A8 rotors. As far as wheel clearance, I seem to have the same superleggara"s as Greg. They also appear to fit with the stock 16" rims. That will be helpful for the winter tires. Thanks to all for your opinions. Dan koropchak
