You have a D2 S8, right?  Wouldn't they have different transmissions?
Probably different gearing, certainly different programming.  Which
reminds me, I keep hearing that there are at least 2-3 different
tuners who will reprogram tiptronics for a number of Audis/VWs, and I
see people raving about the changes.  Hmm.

I'm not looking for a nine year old / 100k car.  I know when chipped
many consider them faster than the B6/B7 and better handlers/lighter,
but right now, age/mileage/reliability is more important to me than a
few tenths of a second.

B5 S4's?  I count almost ten of them in Boston Craigslist, though I
didn't try too hard to distinguish duplicate listings.

And, as always, for-sale items belong in the marketplace, and the
marketplace only, please.  The marketplace gets thousands of hits a
day and there's even a notification list people can subscribe to for
new posts.
