Thanks for the responses, didnt think it was an issue, but it was the only
possible variable from a coil set I swapped from a newly acquired '95 S6..
(yes i went from 0 S's to 2 in the same week.. odd).. but upon closer
examination I found the VC gaskets to be failing and left the plugs
saturated so when I put the coils back in, she stumbled and had me shaking
my head cursing VW's.. the next day I replaced the VC gaskets & spark plugs
and all is good, phew..
as for my original S, cylinder 1 is dead (pull injector 1 and stumbles the
same, pull2-5 and it gets worse) and its not a POS (swapped with another) so
tonight i plan on re-wiring them before I splurge on a new coil.. maybe im
reaching, but its worth it to me to try..
