[s-cars] Fw: HVAC Reading in Celcius how to change

Thanks for all the help.

1) Was solved thanks to Bob Myers
2) I found the problem to be thanks to my mechanic who left the compressor magnetic switch wire stuck between the intercooler and the body of the car during a timing belt change a while back. Turns out that the insulation finally came off and shorted against the frame of the car and burned out at that point as well. It has been now corrected and the AC works again. The 17 year compressor is still running!

Subject: [s-cars] HVAC Reading in Celcius how to change

Folks,

If anyone can help me here that would be greatly appreciated. These issues are not related and pertain to an early 1992 S4 (AC compressors are different).

1) HVAC has been reading in Celsius for months after a bad battery ... does anyone know how to change it back?

2) Recently I have the following codes and the AC does not work because the HVAC system turns it off.
00604
30-00
Pot. positioning motor for air flow flap G113

01270 - A/C Magnetic Clutch
42-10 - Speed Deviation too High - Intermittent

The AC clutch does engage in the VAG-COM output test.

If anyone is familiar with these issues and I may not need a new compressor let me know!

Thanks,
Feico
