That, plus depending on where you live, US Federal laws say that
if you swap a newer engine into an older chassis, the engine must
meet emissions requirements for the year of the engine, not the
year of the chassis. So "yes" to the ECU and all the other bits
(e.g, the newer engine might have 4 O2 sensors where your S-car
has just 1).
If you try to take the engine/transmission out of a newer V8 S-car,
you may find the generation IV or V quattro vs. the urS car's
generation II presents another set of problems.
