I have had the same problem. Just cut the line out and replace with a new one. They are available in different lengths at auto parts stores. The lines are are already flared. For $12.00 it's worth it. Does away with all the aggravation.

Apparently it's not easy to get Kroil in Canada - maybe west coast. There's
also some stuff called Knock'r Loose which is supposed to be identical.
Can't find that either!

Before you do that, have you tried soaking in Kroil for a day or two?
Propane torch?

Subject: [s-cars] Brake hard line repair
Hi folks,
Went to replace the rear brake hoses on the S6 and it soon became clear the
hose didn't want to separate from the hard line. So I'm looking to replace
the connection of the hard line to hose which means I have to cut the line
and then flare the end. Any BTDT advice? Source for flare kits?
I've never done this before so any advice welcome.
Cheers,
Tony
