 Yes... and I believe Jeff's friend's experience should be the same.? To me, there's not a lot of point over-thinking this one.? Get the pieces out that you can and allow the rest to pass through... hopefully at idle speed.

I don't see any point in pulling the engine down.

A loose electrode at TDC makes a sound you won't soon forget. Been
there, got lucky,

I fished the F5DP0R electrode out of #3 cylinder in one piece, but the
ceramic was "gone".

Compression tested near factory spec across all 5. I checked the
turbo, no evidence of a problem. So I drove it. That was about 30k
miles ago so I guess I'm ok.

The ceramic was probably pulverized and out the tailpipe within the
first few revolutions. Maybe I'm dumb for taking that chance, but it
paid off that time.
