[s-cars] 1.8T Coil Pack question

Chris, Bob,

Turns out the 115R version has a plastic edge under the rubber bung boot so
even after trimming as per the instructions it wouldn't quite fit.

So, as per the coils received from Apikol with the kit, I've removed the
rubber and the lip edge, so no bung to keep out moisture.

Tony,

Yes to allow the coil to fully seat you need to trim the rubber boot.

The UrS4/UrS6 forum on Quattroworld has an excellent FAQ here:
http://forums.quattroworld.com/s4s6/msgs/15184.phtml

On it is a complete write up on the 1.8t coil conversion, here is the link:
http://www.s-cars.org/postnuke/downloads/pdf/18tCoilPackConversionInstructio
ns.pdf

And in that PDF file there is a photo of a modified and unmodified coil,
should be helpful.
