[s-cars] Cruise Control inoperable

You can't remove the top cover without removing the selector switch first. Under the selector switch is a small spring and a single roller bearing that may pop out. If you're careful, it won't explode on you. Keep your finger on the selector switch while prying so it doesn't fly off. Then, there are two grooves that separate the front and rear covers from the center section of the stalk that hold the switch guts. You pry in those grooves. Get it started somewhere and move you way around carefully. It will become obvious what is separating.

Thanks JC and Steve. Can you just remove the top cover and not the
slider? Are there any springs or parts that pop out if you remove the top
cover only? Where do you pry to open this cover? I assume the outboard
end.
