[s-cars] detectors

I think the operative word is use the CB. You really only need to
listen and most of
the necessary information will come to you. Many of the traffic
enforcement vehicles
listen to CB also. It was comforting for the stranded motorist to
know they could get
direct help before the cell phone and help stations on the interstate
came into use.
A CB heads up may be the only way you will get advance notice of a
laser unit.

I don't think you will find an all-in-one unit that can adequately
present everything
available to you. The separate GPS unit has many other uses to
justify owning one,
with the option to add user supplied data a plus for these occasions.
The proliferation
of red light and speed enforcement cameras alone make that useful for
everyday
driving.

Much of your travel will find this stuff useless since there will be
so much traffic and
so many left lane sitters that you won't be using too much boost.

But, in that rare moment after the LA traffic splits on I 10 and you
are left alone on
I 8 it sure is nice to have some notice of that airborne unit.
