Good point.  In fact, that's what I did when I sold mine - called Valentine
and gave them the new owner's name and address so that he wouldn't have any
issues.  The assumption here was that the folks that were discussing
upgrading their V1s were the original, or legal, owners, otherwise they
wouldn't be able to upgrade in the first place.
