[s-cars] Hot about the Heater

Not even sure what I'm writing about here, but I'm thinking my two month old
newly installed heater core may also be defective?
Not sure entirely...
I swear I often "feel" / taste coolant in the air and the windows seem to
steam up ... ??
A couple times over these months I have had to top off the coolant...
But, I'm just not positive yet.  No obvious leaks in the ususal places.
So, I guess I could just let it idle in the driveway and turn the heater on
high and see what happens.
Anyway to test for airborne coolant?
What is the best heater core?... I got oem, which apparently may suk.
Any chance genuine audi parts will gimme a refund?
While it's a PITA and cold out now, I think I could redo this job in an
afternoon since it's rather too fresh in memory.
Thoughts?
