Defective parts are always possible, but maybe you have another tiny leak
somewhere and left some old coolant in the ductwork?
I bought my core from the dealer through my local shop. Did it the first
week in November, havent topped off since and I can almost burn my
fingertips if I hold them to the vents on HI. My only reservation is that
the brushes on the blower motor were about 70% gone and I didnt replace it.
