Hey Bob,
If you are staying with a liquid electrolyte battery, you will need a
vented battery and periodic
inspection of the installation. There are AGM batteries like the
Odyssey that recombine the
hydrogen and do not vent except under the most adverse conditions of
extreme overcharging.
I left off the Optima since it can not be secured in the battery
clamp. The downside to the AGM
battery is cost- ~$225 for an adequate size Odyssey for the S6.
