[s-cars] On DC Craigslist

I've never met "the fair Elizabeth", and I'm not dismissing her creds, but acceptable = too lazy to learn the correct spelling or pronunciation IMHHEO (credit Dave F) and an apathetic ear turned by scholarly types towards correcting said incorrect pronunciation. It's not preventate, so it's not preventative. Someone that invents is not inventative, he's inventive.
I hate to argue but this sort of thing "drives" (mandatory content) me up the wall.

Being married to one who holds a PhD in English, I've become accustomed to watching my spelling and grammar. However, and I know we've had this discussion before, "preventative" is actually an acceptable "preventive" variant. Kinda like flammable/inflammable. The "maintains" still stands, though. If that's the worst infraction, it's not even in the same league with the typical CL ad copy we get down here in good ol' TN...
