For those that don't follow the QW forum, there are ongoing threads  
about the special tools for timing belt changes.  With the disparity  
in prices some have been paying, I thought it needed sharing here.

This is the dealer source for ordering replacement special tools.   
(The dealer gets the initial stock of special tools directly from Audi  
when the new model is released.) They also sell to the public.  The  
pricing difference is negligible.  Due to some recent demand, : - ) ,  
their stock may be low, but since they are the source for dealer  
purchases and most aftermarket sellers, they will be replenishing  
stock.  I believe this means they will have most of these low use  
tools sooner than anyone if the demand is placed on them.

I just decided that I could not continue to rely on availability of  
rental tools when Chris Semple is the only viable source, since Blau  
requires purchase of his entire timing
belt kit in order to rent his tools.
