They're hosted on the same server. The list only rejects emails from
people who aren't subscribed, and you can subscribe without receiving
email via the nomail option. Everything from unsubscribed addresses
is ignored/rejected; we get so much spam from unsubscribed addresses
that we couldn't hope to keep up with the queue.

Keep in mind that your preferences may be set such that you do not
receive a copy of your message back, and that preference might be
different between the two lists. The list software also will not send
you more than one copy of a message, even if it was sent to several
lists you are on. If you check the archives and see that your message
definitely didn't make it through, drop me an email with the time you
sent the message, and I can try to figure out what happened.

I have noticed a large number of non-S-car threads recently, so I want
to ask people to try to remember to post their general Audi content on
the main list. If everyone posts only to the sublists, the main list
suffers.

As for your problem, I don't know if it's caused by bad wires, but if
you want to save money and still replace the wires, buy a set of
Magnecors (don't bother with the fancy "race" ones, get the cheap
ones.) They'll outlast the car, and are far cheaper than the factory
wires (at least for the 20v; the factory 10v wires are probably more
reasonable.) You can always spray the wires with water from a mister
bottle with the engine idling. If it falters, the wires are shot.
