The problem with the TomTom app is the price. Not only is the app way
too expensive ($80 for North American maps), then they go and say it
really needs a $120 base/hifi GPS reciever to work right. Then they
tell you that the special GPS reciever is ALMOST as good as the one in
thier stand alone units. Why not buy a TomTom stand alone for $70 less?
MotionX Drive is $3 IIRC and works better than my ViaMichelin stand
alone GPS (quicker and more accurate refresh, better interface, better
maps, and more). Voice guided turn by turn does require a subscription
($3/month or $25/yr).
