I read some older posts on the subject, but thought I'd ask.
I'm planning on replacing my Struts/Springs, tie rods (front/rear) and
front control arms. I have the upper strut nut 22mm socket tool to hold
the strut shaft to loosen the nut, air tools, pry bar, spring
compressors (2) and an air hammer. I'm planning on taking 2 days, in
case of issues.
Couple of questions:
- To remove the tie rod assemblies, is it simple to just bend the
inner tie rod metal protective tabs and unbolt, disconnect the outer
tie-rod and slide out?
- Any gotchas's on the front strut assembly removal? The rears
seem fairly simple.
- The control arms seem like there still in good shape - No noise,
no bushing failure, NC car - no rust issues. Should I keep the old ones
in until I need to replace?
Thanks for the help.
Bill
