[s-cars] driveshaft

I just ordered a Porsche CV joint, # 923 332 03200. Anybody know what part number to use for the CV boot that fits the Porsche CV joint? I understand that the regular axle CV boots are too large and will interfere with the transmission or other bits down there, so a small boot is needed.

Chris is referring to the cv joints on the ends which are Porsche parts. The center support bearing carrier does need to be modified to fit, but its a BMW part.

I think that the Porsche center bearing support requires that an adapter be made to hang it on the S4 body. It is not a direct replacement.

Martin,

unless the Cv joints are worn the normal fix is to removed the dried out grease and re-grease the joints.
Otherwise you can purchase replacement joints, if I recall others have used porsche CV's.

If your joints are worn and you do not want to repair your driveshaft I do have a couple used ones.

Chris
