Theodore-
I believe I used the Porsche CV straight up with
no modification. I have a vague memory that I
removed it- perhaps to grease it better and got
to use my pinch plyers that gives it the right
deformation at the joint.
If I did use a different boot it is long gone out of my memory banks.
