The biggest obstacle to the RE-11s is $$$ - they're $100/tire more than the
Dunlops, which seem to have a loyal following - I wonder if they work almost
as well?

If you're starting off with replacing RE050PP, you're not going to be happy
with the budget choices.
I'd go with RE-11. Worlds better from everyone I've talked to and I agree
with the assessment, I love them on my Corvette. If you're going to get
tread noise and thumping, you're definitely going to hear it with 265s and
305s.

Depending on how fast you are in the UrS, you'll end up killing street tires
on the track- high weight and relatively small tires will just end up
overheated.
I saw Bruce cord a set of Ecsta V700 on his UrS4 at LRP, which isn't a
particularly taxing track.
