[s-cars] Pad wear - Porsche calipers

I was doing my twice yearly summer/winter tire changeover 
yesterday and noticed that on my C5 A6, the inner pads on my front 
brakes are substantially more worn than the outer.

IIRC, the pads are either Hawk or Pagid, the calipers are 
Boxsters, and the brackets are an unbranded steel product.

Has anybody else seen this kind of uneven wear with Porsche brake 
upgrades? A buddy in the Porsche community thought that this was 
unusual for the Porsche brakes.

And a related question -- should I just swap the inner/outer pads 
to even out the wear, or do I need to source/install new pads?

I'll be taking a look at my A4 to see how the pads on those 
calipers (Boxster S) are wearing.
