This is unusual, Lee. I don't think you would find that pad swap in any
factory recommendation, but, if you are going to be the exclusive driver
it could be a good diagnostic tool and allow you to get the use out of
the
pads. The swap will move the pistons to a new position in case one was
sticking and some wear should show if it continues to be more on the
inside or the same pad if the pad material is defective. I am
assuming the
pads are reversible as the 993tt are.
It would be prudent to scuff the rotor with fine emery cloth and make
sure
the pads are not ridged to help insure they bed in properly.
