Folks,
Heading out to the Muffy n Buffy epicenter of CosCob, CT Monday AM and will have maybe 2-6 hrs to nail down sisters urS ongoing mystery (what she calls a) skip and I call a micro second of a seeming complete cut off of electric power.  She, however, did mention that it died pulling out of the driveway last week.   She is sort of afraid to drive it.  No, she is afraid to drive it.  I told her not to be afraid, just hold your breath like the rest of us.  
Coils have been ruled out w/new Apikol 2.0 set.  Plugs looked good last August.   I don't think it's fuel related as the cut off is so brief and complete.  Very much resembles a loose ground wire I once had on my old coil set up.
So, my plan, after dropping the transmission, is to swap in my old stock injectors.  Search for intake leak.  Swap in a new ECU.
I thought too, to swap or clean I think it's the G4 sensor on the flywheel.
The only other thing I think it might be is a defective knock sensor.  I don't have any of those to try however, so that may have to be some other time.
And that's the way it is.
Any suggestions possible to try in this time frame would be welcome.  If this can't be solved she is near ready to pull the trigger on a GTI, but to this very day still prefers the urS Recaro's.
