[s-cars] AUDIophile! Stereo Options?

Yeah, I've basically given up on car audio as a hi-fi pursuit mainly because
either (a) my cars have become far too noisy to really listen (Corvette and
M Coupe) or (b) the audio system is so highly integrated that I'd need a lot
of stuff to improve the sound and a lot of work (the Volvo).

The best looking head unit that I've found for German cars is the Becker
Grand Prix- might have to order it from overseas and see about getting FM
conversion and the AM band in the right 10kHz increments. They do have them
now with Bluetooth and iPod integration, among other things. Available in
red, amber and green illumination and OE on Porsche up to the 996 and still
used on Ferraris.

The Dual that Ben mentioned earlier is a piece of junk- just look at the
specs- they're terrible. They don't make a decent unit any longer- nothing
other than the Pioneer I mentioned is a true audiophile unit these days.
