[s-cars] UrS as a Purpose Built Track Car?

Years ago, I got to drive one of the urS4's Ivor put together. It was really fast, and well sorted in terms of handling. There's plenty of potential there, it's all about the weight, and plenty can be shed. I have also built and tuned a type 44 5000tq race car for the track (2700lbs wet), and the first comment from Probst after his drive in it at Brainerd a few years ago" "It's so easy to drive fast"....

Battery to the trunk, strip it down, 28mm wagon swaybar front, 26mm sb rear, coil overs rear, some stiff springs in front, torsen rear axle... Needs some monster brakes front and rear, but there is no question it will be really quick. I'm a big fan of the Type 44,D2,C4 chassis as a baseline for a performance car. Short of full out racing, they will perform quite well against a lot of bigger dogs, with drivers working much harder to achieve the same speed.

Do it.

It is what it is.

If your trying to beat others at the track then no car will ever be the best.

So maybe there will be better handling cars out there, but you KNOW this car.

There are fun as heck on a track, even with the 95% front end weight...

I thought about doing that to mine at one point, and may do it at some point if

I get the car back.

You should be thinking of what is best to remove to try to give you a better 50

50 weight split, no ?

Not sure you want to remove tone from the back though ?

Anyways, there are better out there to discuss that point I know....
