[s-cars] ignition switch r&4: need help

  Hi,  I am putting in a  new ignition switch into my 200tq '89 and 
there is a problem:  ingnition is on but started does not engage (no 
click either).  Switch is new, works (it was hanging under steering 
column for a few days), but when I put it into housing - no starter.  I 
pushed it into the housing as much as I could, the screw looks like in 
the groove.    Do I need to wiggle the key to let the switch fully 
engage with that tong in the lock?
