[s-cars] ignition switch r&4: need help

It seems to me the switch does not mate with lock properly. Whatever
I did I could not make the switch follow the key: I turn ignition on,
but can not turn it off. Seems like lock's tong, or whatever it is
which goes the switch's slot, bites it to turn ignition on but in
opposite direction it is not able to rotate the switch. I reached the
dark side of the lock and I am afraid something wrong there. The tong
is not just flat tab but feels like a complex shape. It also feels
like there are 2 rotating parts and they move not uniformly. Anyone
has a car with stripped dash panel to make a picture of the lock from
inside? How to remove the lock? I did not find in Bentley anything
about switch/lock replacement procedure (I looked in ignition section
and the index)
