Kase......yours especially.......that is what I needed to hear so I save myself aggravation and just pony up to have it taken care of......

I still think I'll source the parts and just give them to my local wrench to put in.......notice there are quite a few to choose from all at or around $100 each.  Timken @ $91, Beck Arnley @ $81 seem to be everywhere.  AutohausAZ has a "Pex" brand for only $45. They all also say it's the same front and rear, however I seem to remember someone saying they were different?  Any part #'s to help me out or confirmation of what someone has used in the past?

genuinevwaudiparts has one for $105.  Do I just do that since oem lasted 100K?  Take care of both while I'm at it is the usual case?

Brian, curious as to why I might need an alignment afterward?
