[s-cars] Strut Mounts 200tq20v

Hey guys, I have a question.  Last year I replaced my struts from the
factory pieces of crap to the Bilstein Sport Heavy Duty's.  Within the past
month, however, both of the brand new strut mounts that I purchased along
with the upgrade (FEQ or Corteco) have failed.  While replacing them, I
noticed something.  The Bilstein's actually protrude quite significantly
from the housing (see attached).  I had to jack the car up to fit the mount
on, so no big deal, but I'm wondering if that huge distance could be the
cause of the failures...?  Extra pressure exerted and all that...?
