Thanks for the lead on Nylon 11 fuel line. I found this link:

I suppose the original metric fuel line is probably 8mm, yes? (5/16" is the closest thing to 8mm).
In the linked PDF, do you see the compression fitting you used? In the lower left corner of the PDF they have an image of a little press mating the nylon to steel lines. Needless to say, I don't have one of those and am wondering if one of the other junctions on the PDF can be used, such as part Number 2946 under the "Nylon Fuel Line Tube Joiner Quick Connects" sub-heading? I don't know if that connector is meant to join 2 pieces of Nylon line only. Or do you recall (or have a link to) the fitting you were describing.
