I cleaned out the sprayed oil and I have become convinced that the problem
is not the hoses, but the pump. I think the oil is coming from the shaft
(or the bottom x cross plug). I think it is coming from the shaft that
spins the pulley, falls on the inside of the pulley and then is being spun
out into a stream to the top and side of the car. Getting that pump out is
still something of a question mark. I think that removing the hoses, then
the three bolts that hold the pump to the pulley is the way to go, no need
to remove the surpentine belt. The belt has less than 100,000 miles so I
would not change that now.
