I run a Samco that is functionally identical to Forge and all the countless
others of that ilk. Was recommendeded and put in by NEA a couple of years
ago, seems to work great - although I hate the dumbass whistle feature, it
does tell you its working. Have yet to have to clean or mess with it but I
might have a look now that it's been mentioned. Samco sells the same basic
housing with a "maintenance free" diaphram if that's what you want, but I
will say the piston seems to operate with more precision when it's all in
top condition.

If your Forge is not damaged, not sure why you'd go to an 034 which is just
a same-same brand new piston valve that eventually will need a minor clean
up when the looobrickashun wears out (mmmmm.... looooooobbbbbb). Lookit the
pics - the 034 thing is a dead ringer generic knock off for the Forge...
Paying $100 vs a little clean-and-lube sure seems like a spendy lazy
shortcut. If youre trying to eliminate maintenance then one of the diaphram
based units might help although we all know the Bosch ones wear out and die
eventually too, whereas the piston ones are made to be rebuildable /
"infinite" lifespan.

However we all should definitely buy one of these:
