Good tip Doug, but you mean dashpot or the cruise vacuum actuator? Sounds
like you mean actuator down under the IM vs. the throttle dashpot which is
right on top.
I've zip tied the cruise actuator rod to the side and will be doing some
test driving today to see if some weird cruise thing was going on.
I did have the drivers fender liner out for the intercooler job and that
exposed the cruise vacuum pump - I suppose I could have some weird pinched
hose up in there or something that was unintending my accelerationism via
said cruise devices. I do like the cruise from time to time so if that's it
I need to finger out what is goin' on and get it re-enabled peroperatively.
thanks all for other suggestions too - yep I've assumed astronaut position,
checked pedal inside (no Toyota floormat syndrome etc.) checked the cable
which runs free and silky smooth...
I'm just hoping its some weird cruise linkage thing at this point but I will
per Chris's suggestion pop the intake hose off again today and peer up the
skirt at the throttle plate and see if anything looks hinky up in there.
