[s-cars] New fuel filter won't stop leaking

Just replaced fuel pump and filter on 93 S4 with 200K and all original
parts.  Put new washers on the front banjo fitting on the Bosh filter, but
it seems to want to leak no matter what I do.  The first new copper washer I
installed looked warped when I took it out, so maybe the seat on the new
filter is bad.  New filter came with 2 sets of washers, so I used the second
one without much better luck.  At least its just dripping and not spraying
anymore.

Anybody seen this before?

Perhaps the local stealer may have new washers for less than $100?
