[s-cars] Help! Car won't start...

Gents;
On this subject, my 95 S6 exhibited some strange behavior last night.
Shut it off briefly, and on trying to re-start, it twice cranked and cranked but no spark. I have already replaced the CPS so I didn't think that was it. Knowing the ignition switch is another Achilles heel with these (on its third) I jiggled and wiggled the switch and tried again and it started right up.
Can the ignition switch cause this or am I looking at another CPS swap?

Right on. That was my first post to him on the problem; get the ECU to
communicate.
The ignition switch is not selective in switching on items other than the starter;
otherwise it powers the bus, and it appears most of the ignition switched items
receive power. I am not sure about any part of the issue because I am not there;
many times essential information is omitted. My take on ignition switches is it
can't hurt, since, if it isn't broke, it will be. I just would not start there without other
indications of a faulty switch.
