ents;
n this subject, my 95 S6 exhibited some strange behavior last night.
hut it off briefly, and on trying to re-start, it twice cranked and cranked but
o spark. I have already replaced the CPS so I didn't think that was it. Knowing
he ignition switch is another Achilles heel with these (on its third) I jiggled
nd wiggled the switch and tried again and it started right up.
an the ignition switch cause this or am I looking at another CPS swap?

ight on. That was my first post to him on the problem; get the ECU to
ommunicate.

he ignition switch is not selective in switching on items other than the
tarter;
therwise it powers the bus, and it appears most of the ignition switched items
eceive power. I am not sure about any part of the issue because I am not there;
many times essential information is omitted. My take on ignition switches is it
an't hurt, since, if it isn't broke, it will be. I just would not start there
ithout other
ndications of a faulty switch.

 I'd say need to be able to talk to the ECU first before worrying about
 anything else.

 Darren - you DID check the all the fuses including ones down there > in the
