[s-cars] POR-15 solvents?

Any BTDT on good generic prep agents and cleanup solvents for POR? they want you to use all branded superspecial stuff but that's usually hogwash as there are only so many fundamental solvents and theirs is prob just naphtha and xylene or alcohol and acetone or something like that in the end. Wondering both about the prep agent (std autobody degreaser/dewaxer OK?) and basic cleanup solvent.
