[s-cars] Anybody still running an Innovative Turbo Systems

The good ol days, huh?
No issues with the coolant/oil lines. A restrictor had to be used on the oil
inlet on this turbo or they would blow oil right out of the box. Never did a
post mortem tear down. It was one of their very early units. It was running on
the car when I took it off. It was very laggy/peaky when the bearing was hard to
turn yet it still ran and made power. Amazing really considering it cant be
turned by hand. There are so many good turbos out there I wouldnt go back to
stock. Tried a 2871 that is perfect for the application your talking about. I
ended up going bigger (3071) but loved the low end of the 2871.

Chris: Thanks for the reply. "Burned up"? Yikes. How/why? Issues with the oil
and/or
coolant lines?
He didn't elaborate as to why he didn't like it but I got the impression that he
thought it was too
laggy/peaky (compared to a stock K24-7000).
