[s-cars] Auto-Locking System Emergency

Help!  Im in my 95.5 S6 Avant, I'm out of gas, and at the gas station, but my locking system failed yesterday afternoon.  I've gotten all the doors unlocked (except the rear hatch), but just realized, the fuel door is locked closed.

I just barely started investigating the problem, enough to rule out the fuse.  What is next to look at?

Any quick way to get that fuel door open without breaking it? Thanks!!!
