[s-cars] Auto-Locking System Emergency

On many if not all cars there is an "emergency" handle inside the boot/hatch.  You must have one but alas I do not know where it may be.  Should be some info in your owners manual.

Help!  Im in my 95.5 S6 Avant, I'm out of gas, and at the gas station, but my 
ocking system failed yesterday afternoon.  I've gotten all the doors unlocked 
except the rear hatch), but just realized, the fuel door is locked closed.
I just barely started investigating the problem, enough to rule out the fuse.  
hat is next to look at?
Any quick way to get that fuel door open without breaking it? Thanks!!!
