[s-cars] 2.0 A3 conversion to quattro?

Looking at replacing my 200k mile MTM stage 1 s6 avant (1995), and weighing
my options.

Anyone on the forums taken a FWD manual tranny A3 sportback and converted it
to quattro? I wouldn't be doing the work myself, and have a shop I trust for
this kind of thing. I'll talk to them, obviously, but wondering if anyone
has been there done that yet. I'm seeing some decent prices on low mileage
A3 hence my curiosity.

Also, if anyone has a 100k +/- C4 S4 manual transmission avant with or
without tasteful mods that they are thinking of selling, we should talk.

It will be hard to see the s6 go, but getting pressure from the significant
other because she happened to be in the car when my original fuel pump
crapped out and then was in it again when the replacement proved faulty, so
those two incidents have become her cause du jour to push for a replacement
(both were about 1 hour from home, not good).

Also, any experience with the newer 2.0 quattro avants to share would be
appreciated. Particularly when it comes to an MTM or other chip as well as
other tweaks to push that car to reach a higher level of performance.

If and when I find the right replacement, I'll let you guys have first crack
at my avant, don't worry about that ;-)
