[s-cars] Dual antenna hookup?

Darin;

I've never found the radio reception to be particularly good in the UrS
cars, either with the dual antennas (my '94) or rear antenna only (my '97).
>From what I recall, with the duals the radio was supposed to select the
antenna with the strongest signal, so a dual to single converter may not
help. The antennas have powered amplifiers - I got better reception on my
'97 by restoring power to the rear antenna amplifier.

Good luck!

Subject: [s-cars] Dual antenna hookup?

Gents,

I have replaced the entire audio system in my S4 (quite some time ago) and
at that time I connected only one of the dual antennas in the UrS4. I
wasn't a big radio station listener so I didn't really care if the tuning
wasn't as good as it could be.
NOW the trouble is that my wife drives me car and she's a complete radio
girl (face to palm) and she hates the rather poor reception of my car. For
those of you who have upgraded your cars, what did you do in terms of the
antenna hookups? Any dual to single adapters you can recommend to take
advantage of the UrS dual antenna system?

TIA,
