What Jerry said.  I would add that I believe he meant to substitute  
standard fuses of the same value for the CB fuses.  You don't want a  
larger fuse than the original 5 amp protecting the ECU.  I would echo  
the analysis that the most likely cause was the CB fuse opened and  
then reset.  This was probably not some spurious malfunction but a  
designed action that probably saved the ECU from damage.  I would  
recommend a thorough look for where the problem lies.  Perhaps this  
thorough wash job allowed water intrusion into the ECU or its  
connector causing the CB fuse to trip when the key was turned on?
